Windy Roads
So yesterday my mom has me take some of her girls up to girls camp... I thought well that won't be too exciting.... buuuuuuuuut I can stop at the outlet stores and spend some time at the beach (Carpenteria) because where they were suppose to be going is just north of Santa Barbra. I get up and start driving at 6a! YUCK! It is a long drive. I am suppose to take them to the beach to go kayaking... well I hoodwinked the park ranger because I was suppose to pay $10 and I thought "forget that, if I am only suppose to drop them off I shouldn't have to pay anything. I'm not staying." So she lets me turn around... (which I thought I was) but then I found out that I to drive them so I just go ahead on in. Luckily they never found me, and I didn't have to pay. Then they took forever and the leaders were never around and instead of leaving at 10a like I should have been I had to wait till 3p annnnnnnd then I had to drive them to the camp around the most sketchy road I have ever driven on... let alone in the Tacoma. I was scared, almost hit a car, it was off roading, on a steep dirt road, almost had a deer jump on my truck (it jumped down off the upper cliff 5ft in front of me) got a nail in the tire and was way further than the 7miles.... try 22 miles I don't know how they could be so far off. Liars! Well then I did make it to Carpenteria. I layout and took a nap in peace and then went for a short run during sunset. It was beautiful. Only thing I can complain about is wishing I had more time there and that it wasn't so late in the day. All in all.... girls camp will probably be fun... it was not horrible waiting in the car cause I was reading my book... the beach was still fun... and everyone was safe... so I guess you can call it a successful day.
